                           Design the 'Healthy Fridge'

 In this unit, you have learned a lot about nutrition. Now we suggest you make a collage to show what you’ve learned. Draw an open fridge on a piece of card and paste drawings or photos of the foods that should be part of a healthy diet. 

 

DESIGN the collage

Choose fifteen foods that you would include in a healthy diet. Their size should be larger the more they should be consumed. For example, natural or minimally processed foods should be the largest, and highly processed foods should be the smallest.

 

GET photos or draw pictures

Get photos or make drawings of the foods you have chosen, taking into account their size.

DRAW a fridge similar to this one, but larger.

You can include pictures of foods like milk, cheese, fruits, and vegetables to decorate your healthy fridge.

Make a poster that includes advice or tips about the following food groups:

  • Fruits and vegetables

  • Red meat and cold cuts (processed meats)

  • Eggs and milk

  • Butter

  • Legumes (beans, lentils, chickpeas) and bread

  • Rice and pasta

Tips for your poster:

  • Use bright colors and clear drawings or pictures.

  • Write short and simple recommendations for each food group. For example:

    • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables every day!

    • Limit red meat and processed meats.

  • You can include fun facts or healthy cooking ideas.

  • Make sure your poster looks inviting and easy to read.
